Dysport® typically lasts 3-4 months, similar to Botox®. Duration depends on: • Treatment area (forehead may last slightly less than other areas) • Units used • Your metabolism and muscle strength • Frequency of treatments. With consistent maintenance every 3-4 months, some clients find results last longer as muscles become trained to contract less.

Dysport® is known for faster onset than Botox®: • Initial results: 24-48 hours (some clients notice subtle softening) • Visible results: 2-3 days (wrinkles begin to smooth noticeably) • Full effects: 1 week (complete smoothing and refinement). This makes Dysport® ideal for clients with upcoming events or those who prefer quicker results.

Most clients experience minimal discomfort. We use: • Ultra-fine needles for gentle, precise injections • Optional topical numbing cream (though most find it unnecessary for Dysport®) • Ice packs to numb the area (if requested). Most describe the sensation as a small pinch or brief pressure. Treatment takes only 10-15 minutes.

Dysport® and Botox® are diluted differently during manufacturing, resulting in different unit measurements. Dysport® requires approximately 2.5-3x more units to achieve the same effect as Botox®. IMPORTANT: This does NOT mean Dysport® costs more: • Dysport®: 60 units for forehead = ~$240 • Botox®: 20 units for forehead = ~$240. The cost per treatment area is comparable. Your injector will explain unit requirements and pricing during your consultation.

No downtime. Most clients return to normal activities immediately. You may experience: • Minor redness at injection sites (resolves within 1-2 hours) • Small bumps (resolve within hours) • Possible bruising (rare, can be covered with makeup). We recommend avoiding strenuous exercise, saunas, and lying down for 4 hours post-treatment for optimal results.

Units needed depend on: • Treatment areas (forehead, frown lines, crow's feet) • Depth of wrinkles and muscle strength • Your aesthetic goals • Gender (men typically require more units). Average treatment ranges: • Forehead lines: 30-90 units (most popular for Dysport®) • Frown lines (11s): 50-75 units • Crow's feet (both eyes): 30-60 units • Full upper face: 100-150 units. To minimize bruising and optimize results, avoid for 48 hours before: • Blood-thinning medications (aspirin, ibuprofen, Advil, Aleve) • Supplements (fish oil, vitamin E, ginkgo biloba, garlic, St. John's Wort) • Alcohol consumption (24 hours prior) • Strenuous exercise (24 hours prior). Arrive with clean skin – no makeup or heavy skincare products.

Post-treatment care for optimal results: • Stay upright (no lying down) for 4 hours • Avoid touching or massaging treated areas for 24 hours • Skip strenuous exercise, saunas, and hot yoga for 24 hours • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours • Sleep on your back (elevated) the first night • Apply ice or cold compress to reduce swelling (if needed). Most clients resume normal activities immediately with no visible signs of treatment.
